This loop served old mines near Marble and borders the Aspen Snowmass Wilderness Area. While not a long loop it\u00a0was reported to be very scenic. I had to check it out.<\/p>\n<p>The scenic\u00a0billing was right on. The wild flowers were in full bloom. Here is a shot of one of my favorite flowers, the Colorado Blue Columbine. There must have been thousands of them along with many other species of bright wildflowers.<\/p>\n<p>I tried to get a few &#8220;artsy&#8221; shots, but my little point-and-shoot\u00a0 camera is not really the best tool for this. A well-known, and often photographed structure, is the Crystal Mill:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.appleattic.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/06\/00261a.jpg\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" title=\"Crystal Mill along the Crystal River\" src=\"http:\/\/www.appleattic.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/06\/00261a-225x300.jpg\" alt=\"Crystal Mill along the Crystal River\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0The Town of Crystal\u00a0 has a few cabins remaining. It has all the features: mountain views, flowers, waterfalls, and historic buildings. This was a great trip!<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve included a Photo Wall of pictures taken during this outing.\u00a0I hope you enjoy it. Note: There are 2 video clips in The Wall.
