Welcome to the Fields\u00a0Christmas 2014 post. It has been an “interesting” year and I\u00a0will cover some of the highlights here. To begin, here is our 2014 electronic Christmas card:<\/div>\n

Much of the year saw us working on our lot in central Colorado. We extended the driveway, put up a storage shed, installed a temporary dog run, and cleaned up load after load of dead wood. Next year we hope to put in utilities and possibly get started on building a cabin.<\/div>\n

I took my annual motorcycle trip, this time to Brockville, Ontario to attend a motorcycle rally. On the way home I stopped at Niagara Falls:<\/p>\n

During the summer I enjoyed a few high-country ATV rides.<\/p>\n

In October Pam and I scheduled\u00a0a 40th anniversary trip to New Orleans and Florida. It was a great trip. We visited friends and family, the Florida panhandle beaches, Epcot Center, the Everglades, and Key West. The 10 days went by all too quickly.<\/p>\n

Now we are finishing the year with a quiet Christmas at home. Daughter Felicity sent us a tree from Oregon and Pam decorated it (per usual).<\/p>\n

We had a full\u00a0year, very busy, but that’s nothing new for us. \u00a0To all our friends and family, have a very Merry Christmas!<\/p>\n

Pam’s Two Cents Worth:<\/p>\n

You can’t see it in the photo, but the Christmas tree is actually tied to the ceiling. \u00a0The house cats are often a bit too curious, just making sure I don’t have to pick the tree off the floor.<\/p>\n

Those of you looking for\u00a0a holiday card in the mail from us, not to worry. \u00a0Enjoy the electronic one above and know I’m working on New Years cards this year.<\/p>\n

Jer’s diabetes diagnosis has me pondering why exactly we don’t just move ahead with building up on the Sanderling property. \u00a0What are we waiting for? \u00a0Holiday notes include tales of age-related medical complaints\u00a0and illnesses, impacting\u00a0friends and family. \u00a0Just as the [biological] clock ticked during the child bearing years, so the [aging] clock\u00a0now ticks for the geriatric \u00a0years.<\/p>\n

I predict a surprising 2015.<\/p>\n
